Darrel Elsbernd | Agent/Branch Manager, Lime Springs

Darrel Elsbernd has spent his entire life as an active member of the NE Iowa community. He was born and raised on a diversified farm helping to raise livestock, milk cows, and grow a variety of crops. He graduated from South Winneshiek High School in Calmar and then Northeast Iowa Community College in 1983 with an Associate Degree in accounting. He has been an agent at CIA since 1986. Currently he is the branch manager for the Lime Springs office. Insurance sales include crop, personal, commercial, life, health, and Medicare supplements.

Darrel is active in his community. He recently retired after serving 20 years on the Lime Springs fire department. He is a current board member for the Howard Residential Care Facility and the Lime Springs Economical Development Group. He is also a member of the Notre Dame Parish in Cresco.

On a personal note Darrel has four sons who are grown and starting to make their own way in the world. He is engaged to be married to the most wonderful, funny, smart, and caring woman. His hobbies include geo-caching, motorcycling, and traveling.
